3D skeching tools

In order to offer affordable tools to the user for the design of 3D objects, we are using an ecological approach to 3D model creation based on the sketching process.

This project has been founded by Pierre Mace in 1998.

Geometry

Grassman-Cayley algebra allows us to perform 3D reconstruction of buildings through 2D perspective views (sketches). A geometric kernel using geometric constraints has been developped.

Human Computer Interaction

We study architects works and sketches drawing technics to understand the creative process and design user centered sketching tools. These tools are developped with our previous work on a generic interaction toolkit for multimodal interaction, coupling natural speech, mouse, gesture, etc.
