Claire Gérente

ME3 Coordinator - IMT Atlantique

Claire Gérente holds a PhD from the University of Nantes (2005) in Chemical Engineering and is graduated from Sigma Clermont (Graduate School of Engineering in Chemistry) since 1993. She is currently Associate Professor at IMT Atlantique. In addition she is also Deputy Dean of studies at the Department of Energy and Environmental Engineering and the Coordinator of the Erasmus +, European Joint Masters in Management and Engineering of Environment and Energy at IMT Atlantique. Her research fields focus on chemical engineering and particularly on the synthesis and the characterization of porous and carbonaceous adsorbents, for their implementation in water or gas treatment processes.

Dr. Gróf is an Associate Professor and Head of The Department of Energy Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His scientific and research interests include: analysis and modeling energy systems, experimental research in thermal engineering, numerical modeling of heat and mass transfer processes, distributed/small scale CHP, solar energy technologies, and non-Fourier heat conduction.

Dr. Lezsovits is an Assistant Professor in The Department of Energy Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His research interests include: firing technique of biomass and fuels having low heating value, research the system realization of biogas generation and biomass gasification, investigation of heat transfer in boilers and HRSG, equipment design, research and application of low capacity steam turbines, application of gas-turbines for biomass based pyrolysis gas, investigation of industrial and communal energy supply systems and making feasibility studies for improvements.

Dr. Justin Chiu obtained his PhD degree in Energy Technology, his MSc degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering and his Dip. -Ing. in Energy and Environment. His research interests lie in energy storage, district heating and cooling and education. He is the local coordinator of the Erasmus+ ME3 programme at KTH- Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He is also involved in EU H2020, EU FP7, EIT KIC SE, IEA ECES implementing agreements, Swedish Energy Agency and Europe Power Solutions AB.

José Manuel Mira McWilliams

José Mira is Master of Science (1986) in Nuclear Engineering and Ph.D (1995) in Applied Statistics. He is, since 2003, Associate Professor of Statistics in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. His methodological research fields are spatial statistics, propagation of uncertainties in complex simulation models, Monte Carlo methods and machine learning. His fields of application are electric power generation systems, road safety and vehicle emissions.
